The Chernobyl disaster was the most severe unintentional release of radioactivity into the environment. An uncontrolled nuclear chain reaction released enormous amounts of energy and radiation, forcing nearby towns to become abandoned. The closest town of Pripyat is still vacant to this day due to radiation in the area with homes, businesses, and amusement parks becoming overgrown with vegetation. This metal fragment came from a medic box that was recovered near the power plant site after the disaster.

Little brother loved it.

My little brother had been obsessed with chernobyl since he was a kid. Now he owns a piece of the history.

Is it radioactive?

Actually no it is not. The box was found in an ambulance so I am assuming that because it was inside a sealed compartment it never came in contact with the fallout.
