On June 6, 1944, approximately 156,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily-fortified coastline, to fight against Nazi Germany on the beaches of Normandy. Barbed wire was seen throughout the coastlines. The wire included in this display stands as a memorial to those who fought in the defense of freedom and represents the struggles and obstacles they overcame. It was found on a farm in Normandy, France, and is original German barbed wire from the D-Day invasion. Only one piece of barbed wire is included within the acrylic display. The other pieces of barbed wire in the photos are not included with this product.

Beautiful

Somber, but absolutely inspiring reminder of the price paid. Quality is top, it's just the right size to sit on a desk and be noticed but not overtake. As a veteran, I really like this and am humbled by it.
