Praseodymium Element Cube
Praseodymium's atomic number is 59 and its symbol is Pr. Praseodymium is too reactive to be found naturally in elemental form within the earth's crust. It is a fairly soft metal that is a dark silver color. Some early uses of praseodymium were to color glass a bright yellow-green color.
Despite praseodymium being classified as a rare earth metal, it is not all that rare. This fact combined with its minimal uses makes praseodymium one of the cheapest rare earth metals. Its modern-day applications include the production of ferrocerium rods, strong magnetism, high strength alloys, and light coloration. However, the predicted value of praseodymium is expected to increase as more magnets are used to create renewable energy wind turbines.
The praseodymium in this cube element display is encapsulated within an argon-filled glass ampule to prevent it from reacting and tarnishing over time. This means that you will have a beautiful display of the elements that lasts longer than you do.
