Details

All of these models are made in the USA and encased in crystal clear acrylic. Once you subscribe, we will automatically send you a hand-picked Element Cube along with some other goodies. If you have already started your collection of our element cubes, we will omit those from the cubes we send you.

86 out of 118 models contain an actual sample of the element. Cubes that do not contain an actual sample of the element have a radioactive symbol instead. The cubes which do not contain an actual sample are elements 43, 61, 84, 85, 87, 89, 91, 93, 94, 96-118.

Display Case

We also have a large display case that is sold separately to help show off all the cubes to your friends. It can hang on any wall and is perfect for organizing all the cubes.

Billing

Billing is sent out every time a  cube is shipped. If you choose the monthly delivery then you will receive one cube monthly and if you choose the weekly delivery you will receive one cube weekly. If life gets crazy and you need to stop the subscription just call or email us and we will pause it for you. We will keep track of what cubes have been sent and you can always come back to it later.

Safety

We get asked about the radioactivity and overall safety of the periodic table from time to time. These are legitimate concerns and we wanted to address those concerns here. Although several elements in the periodic table are dangerous or toxic, the acrylic and glass ampules make the collection safe to handle and store. The radiation from the uranium and thorium samples is extremely low. Autunite (uranium ore sample) has a radioactivity level of 0.01 mRem for a 2mm piece held in your hand for an hour.

The average American is exposed to 0.034 mrem/hr from background radiation (300 mrem/year). In other words, a person will get three times the radiation from natural background radiation which includes the sun, food, radon, and the environment, than they will from holding the periodic table all day.

Amazing!

A perfect way to collect different elements and absolutely worth the money. I asked for rare earth metals or noble gases and got Neon as my first cube. It also included instructions on how to care for the acrylic and stick-on rubber feet. Excited for what I get next. Thank you!

Very well done! I'm impressed

I recently received my very first element cube (Samarium) from Engineered Labs and couldn't be happier with my purchase. I had specifically requested a rare earth element to be my first cube and they delivered a cube with a beautiful and large sample. No bubbles or imperfections to be seen. Very well done!

I also got a nice note explaining where samarium is used in industry, some stickers, and a nice surprise gift. It even came with four little stick on rubber feet in case I want to make it into a paperweight.

Looks great on my shelf. I'm excited to see what I get next order!

Element Cube Subscription

Overall, I love it! It's a really cool idea and makes every month's delivery exciting. My only complaint would be that most of my deliveries have been colorless gases (xenon, hydrogen, argon) which is fine with me, but it would be nice to offset that with a few more interesting solids.
