This Cube Display is a "plug and play" set meant for everyone from universities to private collectors. It comes with all 118-element cubes as well as a custom-built display case to hold them. If you are looking for a piece you can get excited about and be proud to show off this, is it!

Details

Display Case 

The display case has LED backlights to illuminate all the cubes and measures roughly 60"x37"x4". It weighs about 200 lbs with all the cubes in it so make sure that the wall that you hang it on is structurally sound. It comes with a French cleat to mount it to the wall.  The power supply is a regular 110/120-volt outlet. 


Element Cubes

85 of the 118 cubes have physical samples of the elements embedded within. The other 33 cubes are placeholders and have the radioactive symbol embedded within. Those 33 elements are man-made and do not exist in nature due to their extreme instability and radioactivity. 

The size of these cubes is 50mm x 50mm. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!

Shipping is free within the US but outside the USA a separate invoice will be generated and sent. International shipping ranges anywhere from $1200 to $2600  depending on where it is going.

Safety

We get asked about the radioactivity and overall safety of the periodic table from time to time. These are legitimate concerns and we wanted to address those concerns here. Although several elements in the periodic table are dangerous or toxic, the acrylic and glass ampules make the collection safe to handle and store. The radiation from the uranium and thorium samples is extremely low. Autunite (uranium ore sample) has a radioactivity level of 0.01 mRem for a 2mm piece held in your hand for an hour.

The average American is exposed to 0.034 mrem/hr from background radiation (300 mrem/year). In other words, a person will get three times the radiation from natural background radiation which includes the sun, food, radon, and the environment, than they will from holding the periodic table all day.

Awesome product and service!

This element cube display is simply incredible. It was not available at purchase time, but the team managed all in well shape for building it and solving some issues on the fly. Maybe sometimes communication times are slower than one would desire due to their awesome work and definitively them could be better, so having patience here will help you, but final result worths much it.
