Bismuth is a dense metal with about 86% of the density of lead. The symbol for bismuth is Bi. It has an atomic weight of 208.9804 and its atomic number is 83. The iridescent colors that are seen on the surface of the crystals if formed during oxidation along with its obvious crystal formations. Bismuth is one of the first 10 elements ever to be discovered. It was originally believed to be stable, but in 2003 it was discovered to be slightly radioactive with a half-life more than a billion times the age of the universe. This means that its radioactivity is negligible. Bismuth compounds are used to make cosmetics pigments and pharmaceuticals such as Pepto Bismol. This undoubtedly beautiful element is suspended in crystal-clear Lucite acrylic.
Product information
Wash with mild soap or detergent and lukewarm water. Use a clean, soft cloth, or sponge. Rinse and blot dry with a damp cloth or chamois.
*Never use abrasive cleaners, household cleaners, window-cleaning fluids, scouring compounds, gritty cloths, or strong solvents such as alcohol, acetone, carbon tetrachloride, etc.*
To maintain the brilliant luster of acrylic, wax and occasionally with a quality grade of automobile paste wax (NOT A CLEANER WAX COMBINATION.) Apply a thin coat with a clean, cotton flannel cloth. Then wipe with a clean damp cloth. NEVER USE HOUSEHOLD SPRAY WAXES.

The element is really a gem. Perfect enclosure without any air bubbles or in-transparencies. Only the import into Germany is a bit costly.

bismuth is my favorite element so I was excited to get my hands on this cube, it arrived in clean condition, however, it was a little off center--yall should put some disclaimer or make sure the element is centered
